At The Forest Distillery, we are committed to making our distillery, shop, and online presence as accessible as possible for all our guests. We recognise that every visitor has unique needs and aim to provide a welcoming experience. Below is an overview of our current accessibility features, both on-site and online.
Physical Accessibility
- Parking: We offer two designated disabled parking bays near the entrance.
- Building Access: While our main entrance and shop have three steps, we can open our side door with ramp access with advanced notice. We happy to assist with entry wherever possible. However, please note that parts of our distillery tour involve navigating steps and a staircase to access the cellar.
- Toilets: We provide ladies’ and gents’ toilets. We also have an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.Â
- Limited Mobility: Our distillery tour includes outdoor areas and the cellar, which require navigating steps. For guests with limited mobility, we suggest contacting us in advance so we can discuss potential accommodations and how we might assist during your visit.
- Assistance for Events: If you plan to attend one of our events and require specific accommodations (such as accessible seating or assistance), please reach out to us ahead of time, and we will do our best to support your needs.
Website and Booking Accessibility
- Booking Options: Guests can book tours, tastings, and events online, by phone, in person, or via email at team@theforestdistillery. If you face any difficulty with the booking process, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
- Alternative Formats: While we are working to improve the accessibility of our website, we currently offer alternative booking and communication methods through phone and email.
- Social Media: We try to include audio descriptions in our social media videos to make our content more accessible to all users.
