We’ve got a great line-up of events coming up at Forest Distillery this autumn and winter, from spooky cocktails and cosy Bonfire Night drinks to wreath making and live music. Here’s what’s coming up at the Cat & Fiddle.
Gin & Chocolate Trails Race with Trails for Good

Fancy earning your gin and chocolate?
Trails for Good’s Gin & Chocolate trail race takes runners on an adventure through the Peak District, starting at Errwood Reservoir before heading through the iconic Cat & Fiddle and Forest Distillery.
Choose between a 10km or 17km route, with spectacular Peak District views along the way. Runners get VIP access to the Forest Distillery before heading back out onto the trail, and at the finish line there’s a pre-mixed Forest Distillery drink and luxury chocolates from Buxton’s Hot Chocolaterie waiting for you.
The event also supports local food and drink producers, as well as trail repair and nature regeneration projects through the Peak District Foundation.
Race day timings:
- 8am – Registration and bag drop open
- 9am – First long-course runners start
- 9.25am – First short-course runners start
- 12pm – Finish line closes
- 12.30pm – Winners announced
Spirits & Spirits – Halloween Cocktail Club

Join us for a spooky twist on our popular Cocktail Club.
Enjoy three Halloween-inspired cocktails, two Forest spirit samples and snacks, alongside an evening of ghost stories and spooky entertainment from the Forest team.

Escape the Fireworks – Bonfire Night

Looking for somewhere peaceful to escape the fireworks? Come up to the Cat & Fiddle for a cosy, firework-free evening in the Forest.
We’ll be open late with winter warmers, mulled drinks and hot chocolate, with the log burner roaring and dogs welcome.
Alex Monroe Jewellery Sample Sale

We’ll be hosting a special jewellery sample sale with Alex Monroe at the Cat & Fiddle.

We're delighted to be welcoming the Bolly Brass Band back to the Cat & Fiddle following a brilliant evening last year.
Enjoy live brass music, a festive drink and a mince pie, with the added bonus of a chance to do some late-night Christmas shopping in the Forest Distillery shop.
