Description
This limited edition bottle of Forest Whisky is one of just 200, entirely fermented, distilled, matured and bottled by Forest Distillery. Crafted from Cheshire barley, wild yeast and pure Peak District spring water, this rare English oak-aged whisky reflects the character of its landscape.
Following distillation, the spirit was rested for five years in oak casks, within cool, dark cellars beneath the Cat and Fiddle. Our English oak casks are sourced from a carbon-negative woodland in neighbouring Staffordshire - they're small and completely unique.
The bottles are handmade porcelain, gilded with our own bespoke papercut art by Georgia Low. The presentation boxes are also handmade from the same English oak as the casks, sourced from the same woodland in Staffordshire. Each box shows natural knots and individual markings, a deliberate choice that makes every piece unique. Each comes with a Certificate of Authentication featuring bespoke oak watercolours by our in-house artist, and signed by co-founders Karl and Lindsay Bond.
Colour – Earthy harvest gold.
Nose – Soft cedar, petrichor and leather.
Palate – Buttery biscuits, gentle clove and ginger, honeyed orange peel.
